The startup Havdis has been receiving significant media attention in Iceland as they can become game changers in
#100percentfish.

This amazing startup team in which the parent company of the Iceland Ocean Cluster is an angel investor, has been developing high-value products from cod milt, including ingredients with applications similar to those used in aesthetic medicine.

Benedek Regoczi, one of Havdis ’ founders and a Project Manager at the Iceland Ocean Cluster, was recently featured in an interview with Iceland’s largest newspaper. He explained:

“We have demonstrated that it is possible to extract PDRN from cod milt. We have successfully operated two small-scale production lines and one large-scale production line, producing several tonnes of raw material and converting it into PDRN.”

PDRN can be used in skincare products such as creams, but it is also used in injectable formulations that stimulate skin regeneration and repair. Andreas Lyhammer
